I agree with the others who said that you need to increase the cortef, even if the fever is just a reaction to the immunizations.  Our ped endo has said that we should double the dose prior to getting the shots so that their body is "ready" for the reaction to the vaccine.   I find it very disturbing that your ped endo made those recommendations to you.  I have never heard of a ped endo that didn't say to increase the cortef with a fever that high.  The reason for the fever is important diagnostically and to plan treatment, but the stress of the fever itself is what is dangerous to the child with CAH.  I hope you will discuss this with your doctor.  If you do not get a satisfactory answer, I hope you will look for a new doctor.  It seems as if he doesn't take CAH very seriously, and that is frightening.
