No, it doesn't sound right to me!  I was told that under 9 you had to get 2 shots and that they would not administer the "complete" vaccine (meaning only one shot) to anyone under nine.   And I really don't understand what having the shot last year would have to do with it.  That was for completely different strains of influenza and that shot would not be good this year.  Each year they reformulate the vaccine based on the 3 or 4 strains of influenza that they think will hit this country this year.
