my daughter had chicken pox when she was only 3 months old. we called the endo to ask if there were any possible problems. he said to stress dose only if she had a fever. i was worried because i had read that for people taking steroids that having chicken pox could cause complications. they assured me that the dose she is on is for replacement and is not enough to be concerned about. the only danger i could see is having a fever. my daughter's fever lasted for about a week and was between 100.5 and 102. during these times we stress dosed and gave her advil. we have heard that for fevers you can alternate giving advil and tylenol every 4 hours. i understand they work differently and this way the meds don't have to run out befor you give more. julia
