Hello Becki,

My situation was a little different than yours will be because we did not know ahead of time that our daughter had CAH.  She was born with ambiguous genitalia.  So, we had to wait 3 days before they could tell us that she had CAH.  She was only in my room the day I had her for about 2 hours, then she had to stay in the nursery.  I felt like I didn't even have a baby.  I could go to the nursery whenever I wanted to see her but it was not the same.  They had her hooked up to a heart monitior, that is why she had to stay in the nursery.  She was never in Neo-Natal care.  She was in the hospital for 1 week, which was hard because I had to go home without her. ( I went home in 2 days)  But we were always at the hospital.  She is 4 months old right now and is doing great!  She will be having surgery in January to correct her enlarged clitoris.  We see the surgeon next month to finalize everything.  I can't wait until the surgery is over, I know it is going to be a ruff day, but then it will be over for now.  I hope I helped you with some of your questions.  Congratulations and good luck!!!
