When i had my daughter she was never in my room. It was kind of wierd the way it happened. On my way to my room i was asked by the nursery attendant if i wanted her to take my baby into the room she had just finished bathing her and doing whatever they needed to do and the weird thing was when i said no. I don't know why but five minutes later the doctors from the NICU came in and told me that my daughter had stopped breathin and they were going to admit her into the NICU. It was a good thing that she was still in the nursery i dont know what i would have done i was so out of it that i would have probably thought that she had gone to sleep or something. My daughter did have to stay in the NICU for her first 3 weeks. She would retain potassium and they were ofcourse doing all sorts of blood tests. I did get to nurse her. But unfortunately she was never in my room. She had an enlarged clitorus and  so three days after her first birthday she had her surgery and it was a complete success. She came through with flying colors we never had to use pain medication after 24 hours of her surgery. The doctors and nurses were so suprised to see how well she was doing. She only had a catheter on for 24 hours.  Good Luck!!!  And many Blessings
