Sounds like you are lucky to have everything at one hospital.  Our ped endo is Dr. Stephen LaFranchie at OHSU and as I said we have been treating with him for over 15 years.  My daughter was assigned male gender at birth with hypospadius.  She was born in Tulsa, OK and after a week we were brought back to the hospital and he was then a she and so on.  We had her first surgery at 2 months, next at 6 months, another at 18 months and again at 7 years and hopefully her final surgery was preformed at 15.  She has had alot of complications with scar tissue and fisculas in her urinary tract.  So it has been a long painful road, but she is a champion and has pulled me through!!!  She has been a swimming competitor since she was 6 and I know that if she did not have the surgery for cosmetic reasons that there is no way she would have ever been able to wear a swim suit in public, I think we all know the obvious difference that even young children have.  I began her swimming to help her battle the weight gain and have an ability for lifelong health with this type of excerise.  She excells in whatever she chooses and I am always in awe of her.  There are alot of downsides to this condition for her as of lately, not being able to join the military or pass a UA for althetic scholorships.  But we carry on and stay grateful for the treatment that is available.  Good Luck and stay with this board we all are allways learning more from each other.    Sherrie
