In my opinion you did everything right, my daughter is now 9 and looking back to when she was ill i always rushed her either to a doctor or  to the er, thats what i was told when i first discovered she had cah at 3 weeks old..My endo always told me it was better to be safe than sorry, we have called ambulances in the past and always ended up in er. My endo told me that if we were away from hospital and it was to far then we would have to do the injection but that never happened, and we were always close to a hospital..Its been so long since she has been ill maybe 3 or 4 yrs ago when she had the chicken pox.Up until now she is so healthy touch wood i hope it stays that way..so best of luck do whats best for you and dont let anybody change your mind remember mother knows best. see you later, hope ive helped a little...........vera
