I know exactly how you feel. My son was born July 29, 1998.  The liquid cortef was not working for him. He had to take a big amount too. I think it was 15 or 20 mg a day. 10 mg at 7am; 5mg at 3pm and 5 mg at 11pm.  He is now taking 5mg; 2.5mg; and 2.5mg. and one florinef.  The same dose at my son that will be 7 years old on December 22 (christmas baby). He is still very thin. He was lossing weight and looked terrible on the liquid cortef. I think that Upjohns be held accountable!!!  As well as my ped endo that let him stay on the meds that didn't work!!
