I found about a Maryland law today that benefits my kids - ck your state?

There is a Maryland law that I think took effect in January 1999 that states that patients with chronic conditions are allowed to receive 90 day prescriptions for all maintenance medicines.  My pharmacy currently fills everything for 30 days.  The ped endo said that's just to make more money.  He wrote new prescriptions for the cortef/prednisone and florinef - each for 90 days w/ the caveat on the steroids about stress doses.  It should be cheaper, but I will also not have to visit the pharmacy so often.  It is not supposed to matter that there is a mail order option.  The insurance company has to abide by the state law even if I fill at the pharmacy.  With two CAH kids it seems like we are always picking up something!
