My 2 1/2 year old daughter just got her shot last week. This is her third shot. We started at 6 months. I give her a dose of Tylenol about 30 minutes before the shot and then monitor her afterwards. This time she did not need Tylenol after the first dose. She has in the past run a small temp but didn't need stress dose. She probably didn't need the first dose but I feel -better safe than sorry! We were also on the waiting list at her ped's office. He still does not have them in. We went to the endo's office to get hers. The rest of the family, except my 7 month old, went to a flu shot clinic to get ours. My daughter will get a second shot this time because that is what her endo recommends. The ped would've only done one. My 7 month old (non-cah) will get hers when the ped's office gets theirs in. Whenever that will be!
