Hi Laura,  That does sound like a horrible night.  The kind that we wish would never happen.  I had one question.  My endo has instructed me when my son has a fever to triple the cortef, give it to him every 8 hours round the clock and continue to do so until the fever has been gone for 24 hours.  I was just wondering if your endo has told you to stop the double or triple dose as soon as the fever has gone.?  My understanding is that even if they don't have the actual fever that their body is still going through physical stress and that is why it's important to continue the elevated dose for a day after.  I just became a little concerned after reading your post and was curious about what your endo had said.  Maybe my endo is just being over protective.  But it certainly has peeked my curiousity.
