That is one of the nerve racking things that I go through when my daughter gets sick. I have a million different ways of treating these fevers ect. running through my head. My endo. says to just double at the time of fever. That is a good idea to continue. I am going to ask him next visit about that in January. When in doubt I always give more. Like the night of the fever, he said to double and I remember others saying to triple. So I compromised and gave her double and a half. More is better in their case. She was undersurpressed for so long and is now at a good level but I feel could be lower. So I thought perhaps a little more than required at this time would be good. My endo. said treating CAH is almost like an art. There is not a true handbook to go to and say ok, EVERY patient should do this when this happens. I wish to God there was because that would take 99percent of my worry away when she does get sick. All that runs through my mind is what if I make the wrong choice!  That is what I have a hard time with. So I decided to make me feel better, more is the answer when in doubt. I wish we could submit all these ways of treating CAH to one source that all our endos. can study it and learn off of eachother. But I am so blessed with the ideas I personally got off this message board that my endo. has been delighted with. Like the emergency letter. Next visit I am definately going to ask him about that. Thanks! Have a nice holiday!
