My daughter also suffered with constipation it was a real problem  then the doctor suggested that we try liquid parrafin oil we started by using 20mls twice daily i used to mix it in her milk so she would know that it was there. Then we started decreasing the dosage as her bowels started working again it took a few months from what i can remember she is now 9 but it definetly worked.
