My daughter is just 7 months old and has CAH. It was so overwhelming at first. She is a happy, healthy little bundle of energy and love! Just today someone commented that she is the picture of health!! Thank God there is a treatment for CAH. We must watch her carefully, especially when she is sick (as do all parents) and we must give triple dose of her medicine for fevers, diarrhea. We must give her an injection of cortef for a broken bone, vomiting, and dehydration and get to a hospital. It is hard to understand at first but do lots of research (this site has links to much info.) Find out all you can, be well equipped for illnesses: fevers (thermometer to be read rectally, advil drops, tylenol suppositories in case of vomiting,) get a medic alert bracelet, have pedialyte for dehydration, make sure to have the injectable-several and know how to use it, and then relax and enjoy your new baby!! It does get easier!Julia
