It sounds like the surgeon you have is not being completely honest with you. Even some of the surgeons who still advocate that clitoral surgery be performed in the first year of life are recommending that vaginal surgery be delayed until the child is several years older. This is because the scar tissue that forms does not grow as the child grows and a second surgery is often necessary. I wish I could help you in your search but if your daughter is still an infant you should have no problem locating a trustworthy and competent surgeon by the time the surgery is truly necessary.
