When Olivia switched from the liqued to the pill form of Cortef, her daily doses too had to change, though the total for th day remained the same.  Currently she takes 2.5, 2.5 and 5.0 mg and is doing real well.

I found my pill splitter at a Walgreens.  It has a pill crusher attached to it, though I have better luck crushing the pill between 2 metal spoons.  The spoon makes it very easy to drop into a medicine syringe.  I then suck-up about 2 mls of cran-apple juice, shake and give it to her.  This is only done with the nighttime dose, since she takes the morning and afternoon by mouth.
