Carol, Thanks for the long post, it was great. I did read the Time article when it came out. It thought it was exaggerated and was outrageous that it never mentioned late onset. I will research the other articles soon. Her signs of premature adrenarche are body odor at age 6 and axillary hair at age 7-1/2. She does not have any pubic hair. The ped endo feels that due to no pubic hair and the other levels being normal that he will not do the ACTH. He says the axillary hair and odor corresponds to the high DHEAS, but doesn't the high DHEAS cause the axillary hair and odor and should there be a reason for it to be high?? I feel like I need to wait out the six months and then see how she's doing. She has not had the growth spurt although she was slightly taller at the ped endo appointment than at the reg ped appointment three months before so I am going to track her height over the next six months as well. Again thanks for the long post. I'm confused and still trying to decide how hard to push the doctors. My ped endo said he studied at Cornell but not under Dr. New. He did not seem happy to be challenged by me with questions. Could you give me your email in case I have further questions down the road? Mine is petries@execpc.com. Thanks, Chris
