That is a very personal decision. You know, carrying the gene is really not as rare an occurance as you would think. There are LOTS of people who carry the gene, but do not have the disorder. My main concern is whether or not the donor is screened for CAH - or a host of other disorders for that matter. My guess (and it is only a guess) is that they probably do not screen for it unless specifically asked to. I assume that only your partner is a carrier of the CAH gene and you are not. Otherwise, the gene could still be passed on - just not manifest by the disorder. I would check this out very carefully and thoroughly before making a decision.Kay
