OUCH!!! and how scary can that be!  Oh, I feel for Brayden.  During Halloween we had an attack of a pumpkin stem which caught my son in the lip.  Yikes, blood absolutely everywhere - luckily it just missed his tooth.

Your post brings up a question that I was thinking about.  Should we stress dose for a dentist visit?  Interestingly, I was just in the oral surgeons office (I have to have all 4 wisdom teeth removed - ask me how happy I am about this!?!) and when filling out the forms it asked if one is taking cortisone.  I know that the dose would definately be tripled for oral surgery and all necessary precautions taken, including having the procedure done in the hospital.

Okay, I'll confess that this question is steming from the fact that I am a big fat chicken and get totally stressed going to the dentist!  So, I guess that I am answering my own question and agreeing with previous posts that it is better to give an extra dose, just in case.
