Same here. I was "co- managed" by my regular OB and a high risk OB. The high risk OB was very knowledgeable about CAH but also had a geneticist on staff to assist her.... and even then all doctors consulted with or kept in contact with Ann Carlson ( geneticist ) from the lab in NY ( my memory is suddenly blank, I want to say Cornell?... connected with Dr New ) While on the Dex, my OB and the high risk OB kept in close contact. Now that I am off the Dex I can stick with my reg OB. HOWEVER.... IF I wanted to I could maintain contact with high risk OB as far as check ups go. The 2 doctors still keep each other updated on my progress. IF I end up needing to deliver early for ANY reason.... I will go to the high risk OB. Susan PS - My own OB is very knowledgeable on CAH so I feel confident and comfortable with her.... the high risk OB has the better equiptment, hospital, resources... should I need to deliver early.Braydensmom
