My son is doing well, Laura, thanks for asking.  Glad to hear your daughter is feeling better.  Nick tolerates his flu shots very well, generally, but has gotten a swollen lymph gland in the underarm each of the last two years, same side as his shot.  It causes him to walk around with his elbow up in the air for a couple of days---looks a little weird, but doesn't seem to slow him down at all.
