Those darn HMOs

A few weeks ago when I ordered the rest of their medication, I ordered 4 syringes for Jonathan and Ginnie. The told me it would take a while since they were on backorder. Yesterday they arrived. But only half the order, so to speak. I had ordered two of one size and two of a smaller size for Ginnie. The smaller ones could be obtained, and they saw the (2) as 2 boxes, not 2 syringes. And the HMO approved it. We received 200 syringes yesterday, paid for (except for the $5 copay on each box) by Cygna.

Linda says the syringes will work on Ginnie since she's grown. My 8-year old pointed out that the syringes have an expiration date of November 2001. I'd never heard of syringes having expiration dates, and how we're supposed to use 200 syringes in the next 11 months I haven't figured out, yet.
