I too am an Askenazi Jew, but dear hubby is Irish/Polish catholic.  Dr. New said we don't carry the CAH gene that is prevelant in Jews.  Go figure!!!  I didn't find out which strain of CAH that is.  Maybe one day (if I ever have one), I will look into this more deeply.
