Mary, I am a mom from Ohio that is trying to get NBS for CAH here. I could email you my costs. (including almost costing my daughter's life, PRICELESS) Has your state considered looking into tandeum mass screening? (I know this is not the specific name but I misplaced my notes.) It is a new method that tests for over 25 diseases, NOT INCLUDING CAH. This is what I am up against presently in Ohio. They have considered adding CAH to their NBS list several times. This new testing is now threatening the chance to get CAH added to the list once again. I myself was looking for statistics. But as you well know, the bottom line is cost. Which makes me sick. It is hard to tell how many infant's lives were lost to CAH where testing was not required. I assume some were written off as SIDS.
