To Beth D.: Actually, I do have an idea about the Lupron......

Beth,

Actually, I do have an idea about what you might do with the extra meds:  I believe Lupron is sometimes used to treat adult women with fibroids and/or infertility issues.  When I talked to her about Nick way back, our school principal mentioned that SHE had to have Lupron shots when she was trying, unsuccessfully, to get pregnant.  (I know, sounds kinda backwards, doesn't it, that she would be taking it to be MORE fertile when, in effect, our kids are taking it so that they can be LESS.  I'm not sure why that is, but it might have something to do with how Lupron works, which is actually to stimulate the pituitary, before it ends up quieting it down---just a wild guess, probably wrong---but I remember our endo saying it was also because she (the principal) probably also had fibroids.)  Anyway, since you're pregnant and probably see your OB/Gyn quite regularly now, maybe you can mention the Lupron to her/him.  Perhaps they have a patient with these issues who are taking the injections and could use the free meds.

Apparently, Lupron is prescribed to grown men, too.  When I brought Nick in for his flu shot, the nurse mentioned that her elderly father got Lupron injections, too, but I have no idea for what---prostate issues??!!!  I know what you mean about the idea of throwing the meds out---it seems like such an incredible waste---so hopefully, you can find someone who can take them off your hands.   Good luck!
