CAH Girls

I have a 7 1/2 yr old daughter with salt wasting CAH diagnosed at birth.  At age 2 she had "corrective surgery".  For about the last year or so she has had a lot of trouble with pelvic pain (low down, way below the belly button but above the mound of her private area).  It has gotten so bad for her that she often without warning screams out in pain.  We have had her to the pediatrician a number of time and to the endo who of course says its unrelated to her CAH.  Now she is seeing a pedo gastro dr who has run a series of ultrasound type tests on her.  Last week she had an upper GI and today she had a sonogram.  They were able to identify for the first time her uterus and both ovaries.  We are very pleased.  However, after checking practically every organ possible, they seemed to conclude (now remember this was the ultrasound staff, not the dr) that all looked "fine".  Since they had her fill up on water before the tests she was needing to use the facilites.  Upon her return she told the dr who had come into the room and was talking to me, that her pelvic was really hurting now.  He decided to take a look at her bladder again.  This time empty.  He found out that she didnt empty completely!  He said that maybe I needed to talk to my doctor about this right away.  He was going to contact her today and let her know what he thought.

I am wondering what all of you think about that.  Especially you with CAH girls who have had surgeries.  My hubby and I are thinking maybe its realted.  I will let you all know what the outcome of all this is........... Thanks.  nackenheil@hotmail.com
