JulieOur daughter as you know by now is almost 1 year old we still have not had her surgery. We will not do the clitoral reduction we will let that be her choice later on down the road, It has reduced in size quit a bit since she was a newborn.
My questions is about the vaginal opening part of it, I am scared to death of haveing her get surgery I do not know why I feel that way. Did any one else feel that? Does anyone know about how long the surgery takes and recovery time? Is there special ways of taking care of the vagina after words, infections are they possible? Is there a best age to have this done? What I have been thinking is a little older ever since she was born now that it has been almost a year I think we really need to get something started soon what do you think about ages is there a better age to have it done?
I feel like I am being selfish when it comes to her surgery because of the fear I am having I think the more I know about the procdure the better i will feel and I will kind of know what to excpect. Especially hearing it from all of you whom have experienced it first hand by being a mother or a child of CAH.
Sorry about such a long post I just have so many questions. Oh one more am i being to paroned(sp?) Thank you all so much!! Your Great!!!!!!!
