hfSince my twenties I have been told my urine is too concentrated so I should drink more water to dilute it. That's the conventional wisdom. It doesn't work.
I have spent the last 3-4 decades dealing with it. For the last decade or more I have had it so bad I literally SHUDDER when it comes out. By now some of you may realize it's a man writing this. But I have problems too.
In my case, Cranberry juice makes it sting almost as much as at other times. I grin and bear it because conventional wisdom prefers not to deal with me. I'm "special." I can't guarantee it but I think that the corn sweeteners do a real number on me. And chicken is so manipulated with hormones I am quite sure I have one-to-one correspondence - eat chicken fed hormones and pay the consequences. Of course, "conventional wisdom" docs tell me to avoid caffeine - I think they are quite right. Corn sweetners, Caffeine, and Chicken make me "shudder" when I urinate.
On the other hand, when I take the basic minerals (try and find them!) I do much better. Also, I sometimes take testosterone since I appear to have shifted from too much to too little and T. makes it feel like I could hold my urine forever and it is comfortable when I urinate. Unfortunately, holding it forever makes it harder and harder for it to come out.
Eating (binging) on Dorito's or Nacho's seems to make my body decide to pee alot more than usual. So I get so dry I can hardly swallow. I must drink to dilute my urine and hence I am up every hour all night long.
Please tell me if any of you or someone you know has any experiences like this.
