Liam has probably been to over 100 outpatient appointments by now and seen too many doctors.  One thing I know with certainty though, is that I have way more time for women doctors.  When we have a choice we will go with the women doctor.   This is highly judgemental and unfair on men doctors but thats the way it has worked out for us.   The historical evidence concerning men v women based medical research is appaulling and this means it is reflected in the teaching.  The profession may have changed this in recent years but that will not help the thousands out there.

A good women doctor who has experience dealing with your daughters possible problem is worth a long trip.(I do not know VA).If you have not done it already, I would contact Kay's daughter's doctor.  I have always found a letter the best route(put a call time in) because I always forget important things when giving a history over the phone.

Hp's post is scary but I have always tried to use fear as an empowering force.  Use it to be assertive and research if you can. Iit is better to read that now than years down the line(my seizure post a little way down).  To often doctors use parents ignorance and good will to pull the preverbial wool over our eyes.

I hope this helps a little and you find out what is going on soon.
