These studies are interesting...however, they don't seem to talk at all about dilating after the surgery?  My daughter (11 mo. old) is getting this surgery next month, and the doctor is having us dilate her for AT LEAST 9 months following the surgery to reduce the risk of scar tissue narrowing the canal.  I am curious to see if that will help the problem???  I really don't want her to have to go through this surgery again!!!
