Natalie, Tell these doctors to ..... well you know. I really believe if she is experiencing pain, she is. Is their egos hurting because THEY could not diagnose this pain, so they "felt" it was in her head. Or do they have some kind of evidence that it could be pyschologically connected? I am sorry but this ticks me off to no end. Get a second opinion as much as I would hate to see her go through tests again, I would try to remember that the final outcome will be to eliminate her pain. I am sorry if I sound so harsh but nothing kills me more than to see a child enduring any kind of pain. Let us know what you plan to do. Geesh! This poor kid. I wonder if the pain is in her organs OR in her bones. I wonder if bone growth would effect the pelvic area like it does in the legs when they have growing pains. I questioned my daughter's endo today about why he presses on her tummy area. He said he checks for any kind of pain. He said if there is some kind of pain where he pushes, it could be a sign that the adrenal gland is enlarged. For what reason it would be enlarged I do not know, (I am sorry). But that is a thought. I have Colitis. It can be REALLY painful. She is probably too young for that. Perhaps when she was born did she happen to have displaced hips? I am just trying to think of everything possible. I suggest get another opinion. If she could not empty her bladder, something is just not right. I do not know the whole story but from what I have heard, there is not a doctor that is going to "talk" her out of feeling the pain in her pelvic area. Don't get me wrong, I am ALL for counceling when needed. But to eliminate pain, I just don't know. Good luck. Keep us posted.Laura
