Was the subsequent articles (1992 and 2000) refering to the surgeries talked of in 1981?  It seems that none of the newer articles talk about dialation for infancy and its effects (the effects of dialation while young).  I am sure the outcome will be uncertain anyhow, since this is still so new a thing, but I am curious of the odds (if it makes surgery again less likely or if the odds don't change).  I like to think it would help. 

My daughter needs the surgery anyhow, since her tubes are connected, and by not doing it now, she risks many infections in the future.
