anonIt sounds like one of the two things docs say when they can't figure out what the problem is. They say: 1) It isn't that (referring to what "you" think it could possibly be, like maybe urinary tract matters) OR 2) It's all in your head, maybe you should go to a psychiatrist. If these are the docs that were involved & consulted with when her surgery was done years ago, quite likely they would say it isn't the surgery because then you might have a lawsuit against one of them for a procedure done wrong (I see that a whole lot too). Docs also risk a lawsuit if they say "it is this," - and then it turns out not to be that - so a lot of times if they don't know for sure, they won't say. A doc also knows if he orders tests, he may have to battle with the ins co to support ordering those tests - some docs don't like that at all. Is there a possibility it could be her bones hurting, as in growing or hips spreading - like if she is beginning to enter puberty or something? So many internet medical boards (like LOCAH & even here), the person spent a few or more years with symptoms & docs said "it's all in your head." And then, wala, they find out there really was a medical problem.
