Dear Heather,

If your daughter has been diagnosed with CAH (through newborn screening ?), she needs to be treated.  I was very alarmed to hear you say she is not taking ANYTHING for her condition.  Usually a child is put on replacement steroids right away.  Precocious puberty can occur when the condition is not controlled, but hopefully that is not what is causing her bleeding (meaning she is getting her period at the age of 3!)  I urge you to get another physician as SOON as possible!!!!!  Then please come back to this Board and read as much about CAH as you can.  There is a huge amount to learn and I'm sure others here will be more than happy to help point you to the right resources.
