Hello everyone and thank you for replying. My daughter (Georgia) was diagnosed with cah at newborn screening. We are from Texas. AT that time her doctor reffered us to a wonderful pediatric endo who we feel very comfortable with. He explained that her body does not make enough cortisol. She was not born with abnormal genitelia. At first we were having to take her for checkups every six months. Now that she is three we are taking her once a year. He said that we would have to evalutate her til she was about 7 years old. Every time we go he examines her genitals and takes her blood and exrays. He said that so far she has not shown any signs of bone aging. I am embarrased to admit that I don't know as much as I should about this condition that is why I am here. He also said that her blood levels are a bit abnormal and that is why he wants to make sure she is monitored. She also has shown no signs of premature puberty. He told us that most times children with severe cah start developing pubic hair at about 6 wks of age. He wanted to be sure we would look out for any signs (which we did). I honestly don't think that much about the condition unless we are due for a checkup. Then when this blood incident happened I could only link it to two things and one was cah. I could not get ahold of her endo yesterday so I am going to try again tomorrow. Hopefully he can ease my mind. A nurse I know thought perhaps she had just busted her hymen falling off the bike. I just don't know. I plan on sticking around here to learn as much as I possibly can. I wish I had found this board sooner. I don't know anyone else who has been through this problem. We are from a very small town and I don't have anyone to talk to about the problems that may come up. Thank you again for all your replies. I will let you know as soon as I find something out from her endo.

                                                             Take care
