Heather - I agree with the others on getting a second opinion...with pediatric endo.  You say yours is wonderful and you feel very comfortable with him...but please look for another ped. endo. and get second opinion ASAP!!!  I'm new to board but have been dealing with CAH-salt wasting son for 9 years....it can be very scary when he gets the flu...or fever...and in some cases life threatening. 

As a CAH parent I can tell you there are MANY times that drs. screw up...that doesn't mean they aren't "wonderful"...but they do make mistakes!!!!!   YOU ARE YOUR CHILD'S BEST ADVOCATE!!!!!!!  Trust your instincts...they brought you here...so obviously you're looking for some answers.

If I were you, I'd post another question...and entitle it "IN TEXAS...NEED PED. EDNO."   I don't know where you live in Texas...but I'm sure there are Texas parents out there..that will be glad to offer some names.  They can email them to you if you'd feel more comfortable with that...just put email addy in body of post.
