Laura KSorry about earlier posts - I have no idea what my fingers are doing! You must have been devastated when you learned of your son's advanced bone age. I know I was, and my daughter's isn't nearly as severe. A friend made a good natured joke about it, and I burst into tears in the softball dugout!
To answer your question, my daughter is not having early puberty, so Luprin hasn't been necessary. Premature pubarche is the appearance of pubic hair at an earlier than expected age, which is how she was diagnosed. She's done well on Cortef, but that 3 years of lost bone age is tough to make up for.
With all the other problems she will be facing, it seems silly to worry about her height (she's 4'11"). Until she was 7, I had a big healthy kid. Now I'm worried all the time about tests and doctor visits and whether or not she has taken her meds, and it doesn't seem like too much to ask to grow a little!
