Re: How many of you are paranoid about exposing your child too...

I, too, am paranoid, cautious ... guess cautious is a nice way of saying paranoid.  We were about 7 feet behind someone in the purchase line at Walmart the other night, and this person's 2 year-old (about) child vomited everywhere (including all over the mother as she was holding him ... yuck!!).   So we quickly beelined it into another lane.  My sister is a kindergarten public school teacher, and a couple weeks ago a child came into class with a note from his mom saying, "he vomited this morning, if he vomits again, have the nurse call my neighbor who will be home, I will be at work."  Ugh.  Another thing that bothers me now is how they advertise "to call and go see the doctor to get Tamiflu"      (within the first two days of getting the flu) - which affirms why I try to stay away from docs offices unless it is a necessary visit.  We've had several instances of the children getting ill from a well-type doc or hospital visit (stitches).
