Thank you for that wonderful explanation.  My daughter has been taking the Depot-Lupron injections for about 8 years now.  We will be stopping them soon, I am sure because she is 12 yrs old.  In fact, I think we would have stopped them in the fall, but her other levels were off and we did not want to make two changes at once.  I don't know if we were just lucky or what, but my daughter has never experienced any adverse reaction or side effects from the Lupron - except, maybe a slight redness at the site injection for a few hrs.  I will hasten to say that the Lupron has extended her years of growth tremendously.  After Lupron was started, we were able to slow down her bone age to the point where it has been within 1 year of her chronological age for 2-3 yrs now (we started out with her bone age being 4 yrs ahead).  We have adjusted the dosage over the years going from the 7.5 mg injection to the 11.25 to the 15 mg shot.  I would highly recommend to anyone whose child is experiencing precocious puberty asking your doctor about this drug if he/she has not already mentioned it.
