Lisa PLaura,
I think you have a great idea here - I work in Integrated Mktg. and I know a number of pharmaceutical companies produce promotional items that are handed out to physicians, you know, some sort of premium item that the Dr. or patient will find useful (note pads, stress balls, new mother packages, etc). Perhaps if the company that produces the Solu Cortef (is there a leading pharmaceutical company that produces?), we can contact them (or their Mktg. people) and approach them with this idea. It would end up costing them pennies per piece, they would get the brand reinforcement that they so desperately seek and you, the parents of CAH children will get a useful/life saving package. As long as there are no competing pharmaceutical companies involved, I think it's doable. If you put together a laundry list of what you would like to include and the companies that produce these items (pamphlet from Magic Foundation, Med ID, etc), I would be more than willing to donate some time to see if we can make this happen.
By the way, I'm and adult with CAH - my Endo's never told my parents about the solu cortef injection. Thankfully, I've never needed the injection. Feel free to email me directly at lpfenning@batesww.com.
