I can't say I have experienced this with my daughter 3 and a half. But when she had her cystoscopy done last week we were told to double her Cortef in the a.m., then they gave her an I.V. of cortisone during the procedure (she was put to sleep) then I was told to double it for the afternoon when she just woke up after the procedure, then that evening, next a.m. and next afternoon. Needless to say wow was her face swollen. She had the moon face. I have never seen her eat so much in that time either. My child NEVER eats. I called the hospital just to pass the moon face by them and they said it was normal from the extra steriods given that day. Her face slowly went down the next day. That is my only experience with my daughter having a moon face.Laura
