Hi, Michelle! I will pray for you when you have your surgery, but am wondering what you meant when you said you, "found out" that you'd be having the surgery. You sound like a smart young lady, and I'm sure you've checked into this on your own already, but I'd just like to tell you not to let anyone pressure you into this - not even your doctor - or make you think that this is the "normal" next step. If you are having any second thoughts, or are just not ready emotionally, your doctor should respect your feelings about it, and give you more time to think/ research. Joan W. has mentioned the Adult CAH board, and I think it would be a good idea to read some of the past posts there; I have seen plenty of grown women there, who wished they had taken a very different course of action.
