Hello All,

  I never realized that prednisone or any other steroid could have an effect on bone loss at an early age.  I'm 30 yrs old and have CAH. My endocrinologist told me that my 10 mg of prednisone would not give me any side effects. The endo that I had before him told me that I might experience a change in my behavior and that was all for side effects.

  It took my new dentist to tell me that prednisone is respondsible for bone loss and also that the drug has an effect on your gums. I planned on taking calcium supplements at 50 not 30. I wish someone would of told me about bone loss when I was 17. I would of looked into taking calcium supplements then and also a bone density test. My purpose in writing is to hopefully save someone from the trouble that I am in because of the bone loss.

 Could anyone recommend an endocrinologist in Broward County, Florida ?
