CarolI'm glad you were able to find the Inject-ease without much problem! Ours was a freebie, so I'm really not sure how much it costs, but, considering the cost of medical supplies, $24 probably sounds about right. And yes, it is definitely reuseable. The used hypodermic, of course, has to be discarded after the shot is given.
Ours came with three different size tips to accept 3 different sized needles---30, 50, and 100 cc. I keep the largest tip on all the time. I would probably spend a little time after you get it, practicing with a hypodermic filled with water or something, just to get the idea of how to load the needle into the pen, lock into place, push the plunger, etc., so you'll be prepared when the time comes. It comes with full instructions and is really pretty easy to use, once you get the hang of it.
As to whether or not it's worth it to get more than one, I guess that's really up to you. I have just one emergency kit with solu-cortef in it, though I know a lot of people say they keep more than one. The label on our solu-cortef says it's supposed to be kept at ambient room temp. (around 68-72 degrees), so I guess I haven't figured out where else I can keep a kit, besides in the house, that would meet those conditions. So, for now, I just keep everything in one pouch and carry it with me, as need be.
Good luck, and I hope this makes things a little easier!
