CarolA correction to my above post: The syringe sizes which our Inject-ease accepts are 30, 50, or 100 UNITS, NOT cc.'s (equiv. to 0.3, 0.5, and 1.0 cc's)...sorry for the confusion. Before you go ahead and order this, check to see the amount of solu-cortef that your child is supposed to get (in mixed form)---you may need to get a model with larger size tips, or else have to deal with dividing the dose.
As Beth mentioned, this little device definitely makes giving shots much easier. I've never given a shot of solu-cortef, though did give my son a shot of Growth Hormone every night for 8 months. If I had to choose, I'd probably STILL prefer to use this thing and divide the dose, if need be, rather than try doing it freehand, but understandably, not everyone may feel the same. As I mentioned, though, I would dble-check your child's dose of solu-cortef, first, and ask the pharmacist about different size tips, before you place your order.
