I use the inject-ease every day and I can tell you that it does make it easier to give the shot. I think that the hardest part of giving the shot is holding your hand steady and puncturing the skin. This mechanism does many things. It keeps you holding steady even while you push the plunger to dispense the liquid. It also camouflages the needle so the child doesn't see it and get anxious. It also can make traveling with the needle a little bit safer as the tip of it covers the needle until you push the trigger. The round head also pushes down on the skin, stretching it just a bit, so that the needle enters the skin with a little less resistance. Anything we can use that makes us feel more confident to give the necessary shot, has to be good. I have a few of them that were given to me by Dr. New's office, but we only tend to use one. I wish you all well and good luck with the Inject-ease.LynnT
