Jill,

Could you call your child's pediatrician?  My son's pediatrician (or his nurse) is much easier for me to get ahold of than his endo.  And he is always happy to prescribe this type of thing for us.  He'll either call it into a pharmacy or leave the prescription at the front desk at his office which is just a couple of blocks from our house.
