LynnMLast Tuesday was "senior skip day" at Kyle's high school. So, OK, we let him stay home (boy, I hope none of his teachers read this). He's a good student, so what could be the harm? Well, he has to take in a note "excusing his absence." Whatever I say, I'm lying, right? We tried a few options - my ten year old suggested saying he was giving birth, I just suggested that I write he wasn't feeling well. Kyle thought that was too lame.
I ended up writing that he had a "salt wasting crisis!" He thinks that's really cool. What am I going to say if they call me to check up on the note?? Supposedly the staff is doing that just to check the veracity of the notes from this skip day! I am going to wing it - and hope they don't call. But maybe this is one small benefit he can get from his CAH!
