Is she a salt-waster?  Maybe she is not getting enough salt or enough cortef.  Thankfully you know what an adrenal crisis is.  Do you also know that an adrenal crisis can lead to seizures, coma, shock and death?  There are quite a few of us on this board who have had a child die due to an adrenal crisis, some children have died with an illness that just had one incidence of vomiting (as in vomited the night before and were in a comatose state in the morning).  Do you also know about the solu-cortef injection?  Do you know about the need to get to the hospital for IV fluids when an illness warrants doing that because of an adrenal crisis and/or because these children can begin dehydrating with just one vomiting?  Were you told emergency medical instructions such as triple the oral cortef dose with fever 101 or above?   My 3 year-old twin daughter died 6/23/99 due to an adrenal crisis.  My email is mailto:Brett909@aol.com
