Hi Maureen, I am happy to see you have found this board early on because we all have been where you are but you will get advise and information from a bunch of people who on the level of our children will empathise more with one another than with  our own families. I do anyway,  so welcome.

Danny Carlton has put a wealth of information on the site and the links will take you to valuable sources of information. The Australian site is very good and has(I think) the best written and laid out explaination of CAH for new parents.  Do not assume the endo is an expert on CAH, so read as much as you can and keep a journal on a daily bases to back up any concerns you have or patterns that worry you.  Make sure the endo has experience dealing with CAH in children and if that experience is not there, try to find one that has if possible.

CAH was not our primary concern during the first year or so but we did have good back up  and knew what to do  had a problem arisen.  I am assuming you have been preped up to give an IM cortef injection for high fever,  vomiting etc.  If not you will find recent posts connected to emergency procedures and packs, medical braclets etc and you will need a new endo.  I am 8.5 years away from having dealt with a baby so I will pass the baton to others who have younger kids but she is probably irritable because the hydrocortisone is making her more hungry.

CAH will not affect your daughter leading a normal and full life so do not worry about the future,  take it one day at a time. Educate yourself and become comfortable in the CAH bubble early because you will then eliminate alot of worrying and it is empowering, especially in hospitals and clinics.

Keep in mind that you are only replacing hydrocortisone that is not being produced naturally.  Problems only arise if the dose is too high or to low.  The level she is on now will in all probability be adjusted to suit her particular physiology but the correct levels will be found quite quickly if they are not already correct.  Enjoy your baby...
